Celebrating 100 Years
On November 18, 1923, Dean Highland Missionary Baptist Church of Christ was founded with 43 congregants, led by Pastor R. E. Smith. The church met in the newly-built Dean Highland School. This year marks 100 years of God's faithfulness and kindness to Highland!
As Highland turns 100 years old, we want to give her an opportunity to remember. Like Moses, we want to look back and remember all that God has done. We want to recount His faithfulness, His ability to give good gifts, and recall His sustaining hand over Highland Baptist Church.

100 years ago there were people who invested financially and spiritually into the creation of Highland. To celebrate our Centennial, we have a goal of raising $150,000 to support three churches in Texas as they plant and begin their journey of trusting in God’s faithfulness. You can give HERE
Highland History Coffee Table Book
As a part of Highland's 100-year celebration, we have written a hardcover coffee table history book, full of pictures and in-depth history about our church and the faithful ones who have come before us. Books will be available in May, but you can pre-order today!
