About

At Highland Kids, we provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade to explore the wonder of God’s Word.

We believe faith grows best in community. Through Kids Connection, Kids Foundation, camps, and seasonal events, we help children build lasting friendships with peers, mentors, and the Lord. Because we believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in their homes, we partner with you to teach Biblical truth and walk alongside your child as they develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

Weekly Events

SUNDAYS
WEDNESDAYS

We encourage families to worship together during one of our Gatherings in the Life Center. While you attend an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF), your children can join us for Kids Connection—a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate Bible learning time!

When: Sundays at 8:40am, 10:00am, and 5:15pm (coming soon!)
Where: 3rd Floor of the Education Building

What We're Learning
We use The Gospel Project curriculum, which shows how the good news of Jesus Christ is woven through every story in the Bible. This chronological journey walks children through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, helping them see God's big story and their place in it.

At every level, kids learn through engaging activities like games, object lessons, illustrations, and Scripture memory.

At Kids Foundation, we help children grow in God's Truth, equipping them to live as devoted followers of Jesus and confidently defend their faith. We partner with families to build a strong foundation through Scripture, worship, and discipleship.

When: Wednesdays from 6:30–8:00pm (Fall Semester: September–November; Spring Semester: January–April)

Who: Children ages 3 through 5th grade (Semester registration is required)

Cost: $10 materials fee per child (Scholarships are available!)

What to Expect
Each week is designed to be high-energy and deeply impactful for every age group, featuring:

Large Group Teaching & exciting games
Small Group Discipleship & community building
Worship tailored for kids

Preschool (Under Age 3)
Preschool is available for children under 3. No pre-registration is required, but parents must remain on campus during the evening.

Special Events

Promotion Sunday
First Grade Bible

Promotion Sunday is almost here! On Sunday, August 2, all kids will promote to their next grade level! We can't wait to welcome them into their new classrooms and celebrate this exciting milestone.

Kids Connection Reminders:

Kids Connection meets at 8:40am and 10:00am. We ask that children attend only one hour of Kids Connection. If you are serving and your child needs to stay for both hours, please communicate with a member of our Kids Ministry staff.
Our leaders arrive in their classrooms 10 minutes before each Gathering. Please do not drop off your child before 8:30am or 9:50am.
If there is not a teacher in your child's classroom, please wait with them outside the classroom.

At Highland, nothing is more important than instilling God's Word in the hearts of our children. As part of our tradition, we present each child with their own Bible when they enter 1st grade.

Date: September 13, 2026
Gatherings: 8:40am, 10:00am, or 4:00pm

Bibles will be presented by Pastor John Durham and Kids Minister Emily Eagle. Parents will be invited to pray over their child during this time.

Serve WITH KIDS

If you love the Lord and want to help children discover His Truth, we’d love for you to join the Highland Kids Team! We have opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and during special events like VBS.

We deeply value the safety of our kids. Therefore, all volunteers must be covenant members of Highland, complete an application and interview, and pass a background check. Email Emily Eagle for more information.
