Rescued and Brought to God // 1 Peter 3:18

3:18 – "For Christ also suffered"

     1. Jesus endured the most brutal treatment we could imagine.

3:18 – "For Christ also suffered once"

     2. It is finished means there is nothing left for us to add.

3:18 – "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous"

     3. Jesus didn’t die just on our behalf, He died in our place.

3:18 – "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God,"

3:18 – "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit…"

     5. Jesus fully died and truly rose!
