The benefits of community/Friendship
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
1. Encouragement. (We won’t reach spiritual maturity without community.)

Your adversary the devil is prowling like a lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
Genesis 2:18
The Lord God said it was not good for the man to be alone.
Encouragement, provision, and protection is not only what I need to receive, but what I need to give!
Why many settle for isolation:
Ecclesiastes 4:4 – If you’re not in community, you’re in competition.
Ecclesiastes 4:5 – Laziness is tempting but leads to destruction.
Ecclesiastes 4:7-8 – When success is our one goal, WE’re never satisfied.

There are two kinds of loneliness:
Human Loneliness – a longing for others, our people. Met in the Church.
Cosmic Loneliness – a longing for God, our Creator. Met in Jesus.
